As we reflect on some of the memorable moments that have enriched student life at the French School of Harare, one event stands out for the inspiration and global perspective it offered our learners.
We had the pleasure of welcoming Madame Lourdes Chamorro, Deputy Head of Mission at the Delegation of the European Union to Zimbabwe, for an engaging presentation with our middle school (3e and 4e) and high school students.

The session introduced students to the history and values of the European Union, while exploring the longstanding partnership between the European Union and Zimbabwe. Through engaging discussions, students gained a deeper understanding of international cooperation and the important role it plays in promoting education, innovation, and cultural exchange.
One of the highlights of the presentation was the introduction to Erasmus+, the European Union’s flagship programme that supports education, training, youth, and sport. Erasmus+ opens doors to international study, academic exchanges, and scholarship opportunities, encouraging students to think beyond borders and consider the many possibilities available through higher education abroad.

The presentation sparked thoughtful questions and lively discussions, reflecting our students’ curiosity about the world and their ambition to pursue international opportunities.
Looking back, this visit perfectly reflects our school’s commitment to preparing globally minded learners. By welcoming distinguished guests and fostering meaningful connections with international institutions, we continue to broaden our students’ horizons and equip them with the knowledge and confidence to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world.
We extend our sincere thanks to Madame Lourdes Chamorro and the Delegation of the European Union to Zimbabwe for sharing their time, expertise, and encouragement with our students. It remains a memorable experience that continues to inspire our school community.
