On Wednesday 16 September, The French School of Harare had the pleasure of welcoming Mr Frank Grützmacher-Técourt, First Counsellor at the Embassy of France in Zimbabwe, for a visit to our school.
During his visit, Mr Grützmacher-Técourt met with Madame Laetitia Cibario, Headmistress of the French School of Harare, for a constructive discussion on education, the school’s development and opportunities for future collaboration between the institutions. The meeting provided a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas and discuss ways of further strengthening the links between France and Zimbabwe through education.
The Counsellor also had the opportunity to meet members of the teaching staff and some of our 150 students, whose diverse backgrounds reflect the strong cultural and educational ties between France and Zimbabwe.
Following the meeting, Mr Grützmacher-Técourt hosted an informal lunch with members of staff, creating a relaxed and convivial setting for further conversation and exchange. This gathering allowed staff members to meet him personally, share their experiences and continue discussions about the school and its role in fostering connections between the two countries.
