THE MANAGEMENT OF OUR SCHOOL

The EFH is an establishment managed by the Association of Parents of Students of the French School of Harare. An agreement has been signed with the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE).

Approved establishments
These establishments are managed by associations or foundations under private law, French or foreign, and have signed an administrative, financial and educational agreement with the AEFE. This agreement covers in particular the conditions of assignment and remuneration of permanent staff of the National Education and the allocation of scholarships. These establishments maintain a constant management dialogue with the AEFE.

STATUTES

The statutes of the Association of the French School Harare. These statutes define the powers, duties and responsibilities of Board members and officers in accordance with their roles. It further sets out procedures for changes in school management, appointment and dismissal of staff.

INTERNAL REGULATIONS

GENERAL MEETINGS

Two Ordinary General Meetings are held each year upon convocation by the Chairman of the Management Committee. Ordinary General Meetings may only be held if one third of the members are present or represented. If the quorum is not reached, the Ordinary General Meeting is postponed by 8 days and is reconvened without quorum requirements and with the same agenda.

THE MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE

The Management Committee represents and coordinates the Parents’ Association and manages the school in all administrative and financial areas. It is responsible for the moral, social, material and financial management of the School. The strategic orientations of the Association, within the framework of the budget and accounts are validated by the General Assembly.

The Management Committee is made up of 5 representatives of parents of pupils elected at the General Meeting, the head of the establishment (consultative vote) and a representative of the French Embassy (consultative vote).

Two ordinary General Meetings are held each year at the call of the Chairman of the Management Committee.

THE MANAGEMENT BODIES

The EFH is a school managed by a non-profit association of parents of students. As part of an agreement signed with the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE), this association benefits from technical expertise, financial support, human resources and training resources. The AEFE assigns and commissions a head of establishment who ensures, by delegation of the association, the proper functioning of the establishment in terms of material, human, real estate and finance. The head of establishment is responsible for the organization and educational operation of the school.

 By enrolling their children in the school, parents or guardians become full members of the Association. The Association meets twice in General Assembly (GA).
