Just before closing schools for the holidays on 11 December, The French School of Harare wrapped up the term with a joyful and heart-warming Christmas Market, creating the perfect send-off into the festive break.
Held on Thursday, 11 December, the event brought together students, parents, staff, and friends of the school in a cheerful atmosphere filled with celebration, generosity, and community spirit. It was a wonderful way to mark the end of the school year before heading into the holidays.
This yearβs Christmas Market also carried a strong message of solidarity. A bake sale organised by the Student Council (CVC/CVL) and COPA was held in support of the Zimkids Association, which works to support vulnerable children and families in Zimbabwe. Thanks to the generosity of parents and students who contributed Christmas-themed cakes, the initiative was a great success.
Alongside the bake sale, a donation stand collected non-perishable food items, clothing, hygiene products, and school supplies, highlighting once again the kindness and commitment of the school community.
As we now enjoy the school holidays, we would like to thank everyone who contributed to making this end-of-year event so special. The Christmas Market was a beautiful reminder that every small gesture can make a meaningful impact.
