The Semaine de la Francophonie is here, and we are thrilled to invite you to a week-long celebration of French language and culture! From Saturday, March 8, join us at Alliance Française Harare for an exciting lineup of activities, films, games, and cultural exchanges.
So Frenchy! – A Day of Fun to Kick Off Francophonie Week
Our celebrations begin with “So Frenchy!”, a vibrant cultural event bringing together the Francophone community in Zimbabwe.

Event Highlights
🤝 Speak Dating (11:00 AM – 12:30 PM) – Meet and chat with fellow French speakers and learners.
📽 Children’s Film: Icare (11:00 AM – 12:30 PM) – A special screening for the little ones.
🥧 Shared Lunch (12:30 PM – 2:00 PM) – Bring a dish to share, and we’ll provide the plates!
🇫🇷 Pétanque Tournament (2:00 PM – 5:00 PM) – Experience this classic French game in a friendly competition.
📷 Photography Exhibition (4:00 PM – 5:00 PM) – Opening of Imaginary Trip by Gosette Lubondo (DRC), with a complimentary glass of wine.
📽 French Film Screening: Le Règne Animal (5:00 PM – 6:30 PM) – A must-watch, with English subtitles.
🍽 Enjoy Delicious French Snacks! – A cash bar will be available, serving Croque-Monsieur, Burgers, and Frites.
