La Semaine du Goût 2025: A Celebration of Taste, Learning, and Discovery!

Last week, our school celebrated La Semaine du Goût — Taste Week — a joyful French tradition dedicated to exploring flavors, healthy eating, and culinary creativity.

The week began with an exciting visit to the local market, where students met local vendors, discovered seasonal fruits and vegetables, and learned more about the journey of food from farm to table. It was a colorful and inspiring experience that encouraged children to appreciate local produce and sustainable choices.

Back at school, classrooms turned into mini kitchens as students cooked, tasted, and experimented with different recipes. Guided by their teachers, they learned how to mix ingredients, balance flavors, and prepare healthy dishes. From crêpes and salads to fruit creations, every class brought its own flavor to the week!

To close the celebrations, the school hosted joyful picnics for all classes. The younger students were joined by their parents, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere filled with laughter and conversation. Older students also enjoyed their time outdoors, sharing food and socializing with friends. It was the perfect ending to a week full of learning, connection, and delicious discoveries — and a wonderful way to break for the holidays!

La Semaine du Goût reminded everyone that food is not only about eating — it’s about culture, creativity, and community. A week to remember, full of smiles and flavor!
