Dear parents,

We hope this newsletter finds you in the best of spirits and eagerly anticipating the exciting events that lie ahead at the French School of Harare. As always, we strive to keep you informed about the latest developments and opportunities within our vibrant community.

Conseil d’Etablissement (School Management Council)

We are thrilled to announce that we will be having a Conseil d’Etablissement (School Management Council) meeting on Monday at 17:30pm. This is a significant gathering where key decisions are made regarding the management and future of our school. We strongly emphasize the importance of parent attendance and participation in this meeting. Your valuable insights and perspectives contribute to shaping the direction of our institution and making it an even more enriching and inclusive learning environment for our students.

The last General Assembly

Looking ahead to next week, we have an eagerly awaited General Assembly meeting scheduled for Thursday. This meeting is an invaluable opportunity for parents to engage in productive discussions, stay informed about crucial matters, and actively contribute to the growth and vision of our school. We strongly encourage your presence at this gathering, as your involvement is essential to strengthening our school community and ensuring the best educational experience for our students.

Seeing Other Local School Heads

I would also like to inform you that in the coming weeks, I will be visiting other private schools in Harare, including Hellenic School, Harare International School, St. John’s School, Chisipite, and Heritage. The purpose of these visits is to foster relationships and create opportunities for collaboration and educational partnerships. By forging these connections, we aim to provide our students with a broader range of learning opportunities and expose them to various educational perspectives. While I will be in and out of the office during these visits, please rest assured that our dedicated team will be here to serve you and address any inquiries or concerns that may arise.

French lesson for parents

We are delighted to inform you that starting next week, parents will have the opportunity to enroll in French lessons at the Alliance Française de Harare. These lessons will be conducted on Wednesday and Friday from 8 am to 9:30 am. Learning French not only enriches your cultural understanding but also enables you to better support your child’s learning journey. If you are interested in enrolling or would like more information, please feel free to reach out to me via email or phone. I would be more than happy to assist you.

Cartoon / Animation Screening in December

On a thrilling note, we would like to give you a heads-up about an upcoming event in December. We will be having a special screening of an animation created by La Pieuse Nyenyewa. This animation has been nominated by Disney, and it presents an exciting opportunity for our students to interact with the creator himself. Prior to the screening, I will be meeting with La Pieuse Nyenyewa to discuss how he can add value to our school and enhance the educational experience of our students. We will provide you with more details about this event in due course, so stay tuned for further announcements.

As we delve into the weeks ahead, we remain committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for our students. We are here to support their growth, encourage their curiosity, and inspire them to reach for the stars. Your presence, involvement, and support are the essential ingredients that make the French School of Harare a vibrant and thriving community.

Compost Dust Bins

On a completely different note, Ms. Cardinael, Ms. Sirdey-Coid, the school gardeners, Mr. Joseph Mufuwu and I thought together this week about how we are going to make and then operate compost bins. But that’s another subject I’ll talk to you about soon.

Wishing you a truly wonderful week filled with opportunities for growth and joyous moments.

Warm regards,

LC
